Mission: Kili Guide is a place where you can learn & share regarding anything Mount Kilimanjaro.

Vision: A transparent Mount Kilimanjaro community.

I'm a young professional woman who had the dream of making it to Mount Kilimanjaro's Uhuru Peak. I was finally able to go in 2019.

Going to the top of Kilimanjaro is normally one of those things that you plan for months in advance. Not me. The opportunity came up to fulfil my Kilimanjaro dream, I had 3 weeks to buy my plane tickets, join a group, and buy ALL of the equipment.

How did I make it happen? I...

• Searched for flights like crazy using Google Flights --> https://www.google.com/flights?hl=en (copy & past)

• Joined the group of a friend who was already going to Kilimanjaro (more on this story to come)

• Bought all of my clothing from a Sportswear distributor (not being able to touch the materials was a hug disadvantage and I relied on descriptions & reviews) --> https://www.sportsdirect.com/

• Bought travel insurance through Allianz Travel

• Googled & read tons of blogger, tour operator, and travel sites

• Searched Pinterest for any posts Kilimanjaro

• Booked a visit with my doctor

• Reached out to friends that had summited Kilimanjaro

And before you know it I was on my merry way to Tanzania.

Tanzania is a beautiful country, with beautiful & kind people. When you speak with the locals, you learn a lot.

The things I learned before, during, and after, is what has motivated me to create a place that is objective, where the information is relavent, and most of all a community where people can share their Kilimanjaro experience.
